I didn't get Orange Box because I didn't want to pay just for Portal (which is all I was interested in).

Sweet.

Yeah this is a bit of dirty pool, selling portal on 360 and then trying to resell it again for 14 challenge maps.

Wait for Peggle XBLA.

Anyone know if these "new challenge rooms" will be available via DLC for the Orange Box?

Would make sense, no?

Why would that make the least bit of sense? They want to sell the game.

Well not really man, unless they don't also sell the maps for cheap to owners of the Orange Box.

If they force us to buy both, then yes; it's a scum move.

I think I'm coming to a point where people like you aren't just sad, they're pathetic.

Now, I must find a way to figure out the ignore list on Bore.

I already own the PC Orange Box, but I'll grab this anyway.  Portal is a great game and my old laptop can't really run it as well as the 360 will.

Portal wasn't overrated, it was an unexpected big hit.  The problem was that everyone thought they were clever by making Portal references to the point where some forums have companion cube smiles now.  The game is still pretty good, annoying fans aside.

Valve are charging Xbots what you get for free on PC.  Easy money.  They'll pay it with a smile on their face.

I got it, surprisingly it didn't really look any better than my PC version, framerate was about the same too.  The source engine is really starting to look dated.

Game is still awesome, I never downloaded the free maps so they're new to me.

Then your PC isn't quite up to snuff.  At 60fps, 16x AF/AA, maxed everything, the game looks very slick, aside from the odd shit texture.

Was gonna download the 360 demo just to check it out, but yeah, my connection can barely load message boards :\

I'm so glad Portal finally hit XBLA. I've been too lazy to install bootcamp on my macbook pro, and I didn't want to buy orange box just for it.

Soooo good.

How the hell are you supposed to get the Out of the Blue achievement?
What do you do on that level where you come out of the portals the wrong way up building up momentum for each platform?

This is the EXACT thing I was thinking too.

I just beat Portal for my first time. Fantastic game. I really really loved it. After all the hype I was afraid I wouldn't enjoy it as much as if I had played it when it first came out, but I don't think it diminished my enjoyment one bit.
