what's special about it

It has 6 dimm slots, supports both Crossfire and SLI, huge heatsinks and coolers?  Also, unlike most mobos, it uses 100% solid state capacitors, which is supposedly a good thing for stability.

What is that big heatsink near the CPU socket going to do except get in the way of your real CPU cooler?

This board is probably designed for watercoolers who aren't gong to be using big ass heatsinks and fans.

so people really have SLI/Crossfire set ups?  It's not just gonna go away? Wow.  :lol

Will be a sad day if games ever have SLI recommended in their specs.

It is for the I7.  What I like most is the dual Crossfire/SLI support.  It means that I don't have to get a new board whenever I get new videocards.

Awesome board. Hopefully, it's not too expensive.

This Christmas I'm going to spoil myself and build myself a new PC.
But I hate having all the choices of different video cards, processors, ram etc etc. It's why I always end up just buying prebuilt things that end up sucking in 6 months.

This time.
THIS TIME!
This time I'm gonna go through with it. New mobo, video card, cpu, ram, psu.... choices choices.
