The proximity thing took some getting used to. (Meaning, you have to stay close to a person to have them keep continuing the conversation -- if you move away they say something random and you're like WTF)

That's like one of my favourite parts.

"Ok man, I'll stick around in case you ne... Fuck yeah!"

so you can't jump on peoples heads and throw shit in their face as they talk to you about banging their daughter?

:lol I see what you did thur..,.

How far along are the people that like the game? I only had yesterday to play so I'm still a little green and I like to sneak around a lot. I rescued that girl that told me to meet her in a bar without being spotted on the way in or out.
Last thing I did was take out a hidden truck of supplies along with clearing a few safe houses along the way. Maybe 9% I think the save was at.

I have Fable 2, this and Midnight Club LA but I desperately want to finish Saints Row 2 so I can try this. The Stalker but less forgiving comment really excited me :hyper

This also runs like, phenomenally well on the PC, even in DX10 mode.  It's rather pretty, as well.  But I have everything maxed, AA on and vsync, and it's locked at 30fps, aside from rather infrequent stutters, which are (sadly) common in most high end games.

A raid setup with high end HDs would get rid of those stutters.

Gogamer at it again.

48 hour madness.

PC version for 32.90.

360 version for 41.90.

If I didn't have a fuck ton of games to play I would bite.

I know the part you mean, and that was rough.

I don't know why I waited so long, but I bought the IEDs yesterday. Holy fuck. Those explosions are hyyyyyyuuuuuuuuuge.

Just finished the "tutorial" section. I can see how the driving can get shitty and sometimes I have NFI where people are shooting me from.

But the setting and concept behind it are brilliant. I want to play more but I cant, too many games :(

The driving controls and the healing system are the absolute fucking worst

Aside from that it's pretty good, about 18 hours in

I just finished it. The ending was absolutely

spoiler (click to show/hide)
terrible. Just like Assassin's Creed, the final stage involves you running down a trough fighting shitloads of enemies that they throw at you. There are multiple endings, and in both you commit suicide. I thought there might be some sort of moral choice where you could opt to take the coward's way out instead and doom the country.

Maybe the ending changes if you give all of the Jackal's audio logs to the journalist, but I'm not on a collectathon here.

Annoying shit:
-- The number of times you can shoot a shirtless man in the face before he falls over is staggering
-- Your gun seems to jam way more at the ending, but maybe that's because you fight 100x the dudes
-- Jeeps tend to get stuck way too often

Anyway, it was pretty good for 19 of the 20 hours, so there ya go.

I finished this as well.  I think there's some sort of French Canadian or Euro sensibility I lack, b/c all of Ubi's stories seem distinguished mentally-challenged to me.  I still don't understand the horrible voice acting they produce.  It's almost like they get non-English speakers to record lines by reading the dialog phonetically or something.

I think I was at about 25-30 when I finished, but I did all the convoy and radio tower missions, and did all the lenghty buddy diversions for each mission.

It wouldn't surprise me if that isn't the "canon" ending. Didn't Prince of Persia have two endings,
spoiler (click to show/hide)
one was sad and lame and the "real" ending, the one they carried forward to The Two Thrones was only shown if you got every single hidden upgrade...?

after finishing the game i'd say it's no better then GTA4 at all.

it had the same flaws as gta4 - repetitive missions (it didn't even have a standout mission like 3 leaf clover). and LOL at the arms dealer missions. go to area, destroy truck that just so happens to drive in a circle instead of trying to actually deliver its goods. plus once you get to the heart of darkness the game becomes linear and the two ending choices fucking suck.

and oh my at the awful MP. :lol
