He sent me the first two issues of The Drops of the Gods (a manga about wine) express mail from Japan, and he even arranged for a Japanese mailman to deliver it to me! (I think the second part was a coincidence).  Now to get them translated!

The premise of the manga is pretty awesome--young upstart learning as much about wine as possible to beat out his sommelier brother and inherit his father's wine cellar.
