this will be fucked by the controls, like every other port. if it turns out to be playable, i'll all over it though.

the DS Lite was easily the worst console I've ever owned.

the PSP is the best console I've never owned. :'(

Pretty much this. My palm muscles are already tearing in anticipation and this should control just as bad as Me & My Katamari.

controls should be fine.  Either move with face buttons and use nub to shoot, or nub to move and d-pads to shoot in only 8 directions.

Are you all serious about the PSP being better than the DS? That's cool I guess. Here's a question to those who believe the PSP is better than the DS: Do you own a flash cart for the DS?

I own a flash cart and yes I still prefer my PSP to DS. Part of it is that I am playing on a DS Phat, but I really just prefer the games on PSP

That's interesting. I guess I'll have to pick up a PSP sometime along with a Pandora battery.

Perfect CPS2 and Neogeo emulation alone puts PSP way above DS to me.

Anyways, this looks great, though I'm concerned about the controls.

Yup, although the DS Neo-Geo emulation is getting better.  Too bad the screen resolution is a hinderance; perhaps the DSi will help with this.

I just prefer the PSP library over the DS library.  On DS it's really just been the Castlevanias and Ace Attorney games that have kept me glued to the screen.  Not much else besides that really.  I am getting a DSi and plan on playing some older games I either started or never played at all, like Contra 4, Phantom Hourglass, and Lunar Knights.

unless i missed a new development the screen resolution on the dsi is the same as the ds. nintendo just made the screen bigger by a quarter of an inch

So what's the deal with PSP 3000? Should I just wait for the inevitable PSP 4000 that fixes the scanline issue, and hold out with my first generation PSP for now?

It seems like they are going to fix the scanline issue, or they are at least doing something with the future PSPs being sold.  The entertainment bundle is no longer coming in November, or ever, and instead the black PSP bundle is the same Ratchet/NT2 bundle coming in December.  Maybe that has the 'fix', but we'll see.

Use that 1000 to make a pandora battery, go get a 2000, install CFW, commence awesomeness.
