Yggdra Union is awesome -- a seriously top-notch effort from Sting. It's definitely deeper than FE, and the music is OMG.

This game is pretty good until you get to mission nine or ten I think. Cant really think of strategy to get around the ankh cannons HUGE radius like

as big as that space on a ds lite screen. By the time I beat that mission I go into the next mission with the knight dead and malichor and yygdra with 700 morale a piece, and me out of medals. Fire Emblem wins simply for letting you purchase items to replenish hp.

Just take my word for it when I say it has the best graphics on the gba, but it sucks. As usual, the ambiguous duo need a constant stream of canidates for dethroning nintendo's franchises. Therefore you get "okami is the best 3d zelda ever, yygdra union is how to build a better fire emblem" blah blah. etc.

Okami is the best 3D Zelda ever, and while I wouldn't say Yggdra Union is the best Fire Emblem, I'd consider it better than the NES entries and up there with the GBA ones and the GC Fire Emblem. It's a really smart and deep strategy game with sick production values and music. Seriously, could Nintendo have done it better? Not bloody likely.

Id say its the best fire emblem. I THINK PEOPLE FORGET HOW BROKEN Sacred Stones was cause of Seth lol. At least Union doesnt CODDLE the players.

Fire Emblem always starts you with a level 1 character of the upgraded class (essentially level 21). They shouldn't be used very much, though, or your team will be seriously underpowered later in the game.

edit: Sacred Stones was broken because you could fight random battles or use the two bonus areas to level. You could ignore those, of course, but since they existed it hurt the game a little. I want to play Path of Radiance on the stripped for the US version Maniac mode.

FYI, I dont like firar embrem either. Consequences are too severe for not thinking every little action to the t. Union just takes the peeves I have with emblem and escalates them.
