MillerCoors LLC announced Monday that it will discontinue the clear malt beverage Zima, introduced by Coors Brewing Co. in 1992, because of "challenging malternative segment sales and declining consumer interest."

Ah well, such is life, but life isn't as light and sparkly as a cool, refreshing Zima.

Thank you Zima, for showing the world that alcoholic drinks didn't have to taste like bitter piss, that it was possible (albeit potentially embarrassing) to get a buzz going without having to sacrifice great taste.  For mainstreaming the many fruity drinks that people enjoy today.

Lets pour one our for our soon to be departed friend, Zima. :'(

I was in a bar in Texas when they were product testing Zima before it came out.  I had no idea it would eventually become a huge freakin' joke but I remember liking it....infact I got pretty tore up on the stuff.  Of course now it's kind of embarrassing admitting that I got shit faced drinking Zima but there you go.
