Help me see Tokyo Gore Police

It's not playing in NYC anymore. We are desperate to see it. Any suggestions, via PM or here, are well appreciated. I will buy 10 copies of the DVD.

This city is packed with bizzaro small-run theaters. The Film Archive is good, Film Forum is wonderful (Jacques Derrida famously said that they had the best popcorn of any theater in the world)

Theres a theater downtown called Two Boots Independent that plays the wackiest shit, they've been screening horror movies all month and had TGP for about 2 weeks.

R1 DVD comes out on January 19.  http://www.amazon.com/Tokyo-Gore-Police-Eihi-Shiina/dp/B001I82RVS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1224024318&sr=1-3

I can't find any info on a non-R1 DVD release. Weird.

Unfortunately not. Well, there must be. But I don't know what it is, haha. Your best bet is to check teh Times for reviews- they'll always tell you- or The New Yorker movie section. Otherwise, maybe check out a travel guide and sign up for those theaters newsletters or RSS feeds or whatever. I guess it's more just knowing where to listen. A lot of the smaller theaters don't list on Moviefone and whatever else
