Well what I think is that it's actually a mix of the two.  No WAY the offical story is true, and if you took the time to actually watch some of the well done conspiracy films, it actually does add up.  See when theres an arguement to something of this degree, instead of sticking to one side I like to find out a bit of both from each, and try to draw some conclusion.

Yes the CIA, FBI, NYFD, NYPD, Justice Department, parts of the senate/house, and Defense Department all conspired to kill 3,000 people and cover it up, and not one leak has occured in 5 years.

Hans seems to forget that this is the exact same administration that has suffered major leaks on Katrina, Plame, Iraq, and Iran, yet they can magically cover up the greatest terrorist attack in human history? It makes absolutely no sense. And in fact, if the Bush administration pulled that off, they deserve some recognition. Evil? Yes. I was watching a documentary on JFK's assasination yesterday. After JFK was shot, LBJ feared for his life and thought the Soviets were planning an attack on the US. Everyone who was in contact with him during that time has said that. With this in mind, it makes no sense that he killed JFK; his actions and beliefs at the time simply don't fit.

Later he came to believe Castro shot JFK, which makes far more sense to me than the idea that the US/CIA did it

Good movie, but it's a piece of trash in terms of facts. It's pure propaganda. So many of the claims are straight out lies, such as the idea that Oswald was a "terrible" shot. He was a fucking sharpshooter at 200yds according to his miliarty records; with that in mind, you'd be crazy to think he couldn't shoot someone three times within less than 100yds (about 88 to be exact). But the power is the issue. The democrats have the power to hold hearings on 911, renew the 911 commission issues (and enact them all, according to Pelosi), and look into any bombshell that might or might not come up in the next couple years. That's a lot of power, and I doubt Bush and his alleged SPECTRE group would sit back and let the dems have that.

They could have easily tampered with the results in Virginia and some other close races to retain the senate. Easily. Yet they didn't. But you better believe if they honestly won under fair circumstances the faaar left would be screaming conspiracy too. Since they got what they wanted we haven't heard one storty about stolen races or shady practices in the aftermath of the election. Pure bullshit all around

If you think Stone's intent was to make a factual movie, I believe you'd be incorrect.

Stone has said before that he presented an honest film. He's a liar, and he made Garrison out to be some saint when in reality he wasn't.

To make matters worse, he mixed real footage into the movie, along with fake footage, to give visually mislead the viewer.
