I just fought the whole time.  and then I'd fight my friend/brother irl if I didn't get to play the Gradius half time game.  That opening theme is hawt!

Fun but shallow game, ultimately the best part was the gradius minigame and the fighting.

GOAL is a much better NES sports game.

I've never been able to figure out what the guy says when you land a pas.  "Hits the pass?"  "Hit that ass?"
