Blood Diamond came out after this thread was conceived, and CoM only had a wide release starting January 5th.

Shake, you are wrong. Yes, it is 2007 now. But you rate films based on the year they were released, not the year you see them. Limited releases though they may be, Pans and CoM were 2006 films.

Why not just create a new thread for 2007 films, considering 99% of people who have seen CoM saw it in 2007.

He said a review that talked about the cinematography but it's pretty hard to ruin CoM without a couple paragraphs about the story and I didn't see him post that anywhere.

I'm not even "viral marketing" TD anymore; people just have to bring up my love for TD in every thread, which therefore sparks a discussion. Sorry if talking about a great film is too much for your sheltered little world, but if you seriously let it influence your own personal views then you need to re-evaluate how strong they were in the first place.

CR is more entertaining, is the best Bond flick in 20 years, hasnt been oversaturated by the media, and didnt receive undeserved Oscars. So it goes ahead. TD is a better made film, but I ENJOY CR more. Shocking revelations, I know.

Let's put things into perspective: Casino Royale has a 7.9 ranking on IMDB; TD has an 8.4. TD has won a boatload of awards; Casino Royale was given a few by virtually unrecognized outlets. Casino Royale is largely a mindless action film; TD is reknowned for having a compelling, well told story.

Putting CR above TD is just Solo crying out to be heard.

slither
brick (march 31 wide release, though i'm aware it was released earlier to a degree)
united 93
borat

and i haven't even seen:

last king of scotland
little children
shortbus
marie antoinette
harsh times
fast food nation
inland empire
apocalypto
the good german
letters from iwo jima
rad
