Bayonetta
Diablo III
Alan Wake
Resident Evil 5

I might get Star Ocean 4, but I think it comes out a week before RE5 and the characters are seriously fucking creepy. I'm going to get FFXIII, too, but who isn't?

The only two games I give a shit about at the moment:

Resident Evil 5
Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2

Maybe Star Ocean 4 if it isn't anything like 3.

Edit:

Since I just recently bought a 360, a lot of my 2009 purchases are going to be 360 releases that are good that I missed out on like Tales of Vesperia, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Warriors Orochi 2, Dynasty Warriors 6 (I know its not that great but I've played every major Musou installment and I won't be missing that one), and probably a few others I'm missing.

Resident Evil 5, SFIV, and Bayonetta are all I want.  Bionic Commando will probably kick ass too.

I think like everything I want is either a Capcom, Capcom "spin-off" (Bayonetta) or SNK game.

Mad World

I've read in GamesTM its a huge dissapointment.

Well Capcom's last 3d beat-em up (God Hand) got a lot of hate by some mags, so I'll wait and see.  Platinum Games has really good staff so I'm expecting all 3 of their opening titles to be great.

Mad World looked like shit since it was first revealed. Not surprising. Now bring on my holy witch savior Bayonetta. GOTY 2009.

Street Fighter 4
Resident Evil 5
DW Gundam 2
DW6 Empires

don't really care about anything else. Hell, if the online play delivers, all I need is SF4!

The combat is too simplistic too, and when the dev got asked why it's so simple and if the Wii controls were holding him back he said they specifically made the game easy for the Wii audience.

I don't think your average soccer mom wants to chop people up with a chainsaw.  Very disappointing news. :-\

GamesTM is not just any mag. One of their criticism is that the game lacks ANY challenge which they find surprising because its from the God Hand guy. The combat is too simplistic too, and when the dev got asked why it's so simple and if the Wii controls were holding him back he said they specifically made the game easy for the Wii audience.

They say the game looks hardcore but is actually really simple and boring.

Ok, yeah that sounds bad :(

Wii audience ruining good games again  :maf

I don't think that far ahead. If I can remember what games are coming out next month, I'm already doing good.

Good point, but Skate 2 is January 6 and I'm STOKED for that game. :hyper

Skate 2 is that soon?  Woah.

I had to skip Skate 1 because I got a free copy on the PS3 and the game was unplayable because of the framerate stutters.  I'm excited to give the series a real shot with Skate 2 (60fps  :hyper).

As far as I know.  Jan 6 is the first Tuesday in January so it'd make sense, and Gamefly says Jan 8 so I'm guessing it is in that area.

Resident Evil 5, Street Fighter IV, Half-Life: Episode 3, Halo Wars, Fallout 3 Expansion Pack and like four games that we won't even really know about 'till GDC or something.

RE5, Dawn of War 2 and SC2 for me.

Resident Evil 5 and Infamous look hothothot.  Skate 2 will most likely be game of the year, and the ps3 will be cancelled.

Will you actually play any of these games though?  Or be stuck playing shenmue all of 2009?

RE5 and Alan Wake (lol) for me.

I think it's likely Mad World will be a total letdown and my Wii will continue to serve no purpose other than checking the TV Guide using the internet channel when I'm too lazy to move to the computer.
