How many times does he say DAMN IT

a lot, i think

gary oldman does his dracula voice

co-op is 2-player split screen or 4-player online, i think you can go online in split-screen for co-op, but you cannot have guests on Live vs. multiplayer

it's not the entire campaign, some missions only work in single-player

split-screen is distinguished mentally-challenged, the screens are offset to maintain aspect ratio, so a lot of TV real estate is wasted, whoever thought that was a good idea needs some slapping

zombie mode rocks

i've been reading some comments around the net about how this one is disrespectful to vets and such because of the music and gore and all, and that kinda shit makes me laugh

like these games were ever respectful in the first place, let's honor the vets by shooting up a bunch of shit in a video game

i liked the music a lot

yeah, i think i'm gonna buy it after i get Left 4 Dead (twice) next week

so far this holiday gaming season has been hit or miss for me

HIT:  Fallout 3, CODWaW (sorta), Rock Band 2, LittleBigPlanet (sorta)

MISS:  Brothers in Arms (should have rented it), Guitar Hero World Tour (great guitar, though), Gears 2 (maybe, i'll give it a few more days), Carnival Games Mini Golf (jesus why did i), SOCOM (at least i got a good headset out of that)

i should have bought dead space and far cry 2 to begin with

Far Cry 2 is good shit once you get past the slow start.  The driving distances also seem to be less obnoxiously long once you move into act 2, which is a pretty weird design choice.

The campaign 7/10
Multiplayer 9/10
Overall Good

Veteran mode seems a lot harder on this one (shit had to go to normal), but that might just be the limitations of the WW2 weapons.

If you hear someone shout "banzai!"

Is the World at War campaign as short as COD4s? If it is longer; that instantly makes it better. They spent all their time trying to kill Halo 3 with COD4's multi that the single player suffered greatly.

As for the GAF shitheads thinking this is just 4.5 and IW is making COD5; Activision dropped the numbering from the game just like they did with Guitar Hero. So IW's next COD will be something like COD: Nazis in Space instead of COD5.

that banner was pretty funny

wanting those guys at treyarch to fail due to loving the taste of IW ballsack is kinda creepy, though

they made a decent game, and upped the ante on IW - they pretty much have to include co-op in COD6 now

yeah, they already had at least one non-numbered installment - 'Big Red One' (by Treyarch i believe...)

What are the real system requirements for Far Cry 2? One would think I'd be able to play it at best ever settings given that it's also functional on consoles, but it's Ubisoft after all.

It's just as "epic" as Call of Duty 4's campaign, too. The Russian sniper mission and the final sequence are pretty sweet.

Treyarch makes good COD games.  It's amazing what they were able to pull off on COD3 given the eight months they had to make it.  The multiplayer shit all over COD2's multiplayer, too.

not really, COD4 was the same old COD they've always been making only with a modern skin and three hours shorter

sniper mission - check

plane (helicopter) mission - check

set charges mission - check

hold area mission - check

escape area under fire mission - check

enemy closets - check

if they hadn't drastically changed the multiplayer the way they did we wouldn't even be talking about the game anymore, because no one really gave a shit about the single player
