  as someone who on a whim picked up Shin Sangoku Musou 5 at Userside and enjoyed it. I only tease, its a lot of fun. I do look forward to playing this one too, but I'm not getting the special edition this time (if there is one). How is the 1st us version with the voice acting? Is it horrible? Should I keep with the Japanese version if possible if I'm interested in playing it?

That reassuring.  I'll have to read up on it more when it's closer to the America release.  I think I read somewhere that Hi-Nu is in this, and well, that would seal the deal.

Which storylines are they doing in story mode?


Not surprised about SEED-D on the cover though.  Freedom is popular and Original mode is basically the main mode of GM.  It's where the awesome story is at.

US version (the first one) lets you switch to JP voices. The english voices seemed fine to me though.
