they control fine with analog stick and you'll be switching from 3D behind the back to 2D so fast and often it would be a waste to switch fingers

only control complaint I have is that quick step is on the bumpers and not triggers.

ok, i'm having problems in the first werewolf stage

there's a lever i pulled, and a platform moves up and down

i can't figure out how to get on it

it's too high to jump up and grab, and i can't reach it by jumping from the rooftop opposite

so, help a dumbass out here, it's probably something obvious i am missing

Not really feeling this game so far... apart from the brief moments when it's presented in a linear 2.5D fashion... the turning feels awkward and stiff, the game moves too fast in the Sonic portions, and the Werewolf portions are repetitive hack-slash with QTE's... wasn't a fan of this style when it was done in God of War, nor am I in this. I'll probably stick with the game but I'd probably be much better off playing Rush 2 or running through the Genesis games for the 217th time.

Yeah, the werehog sections grow on you and become a lot more fun when you have a large arsenal of moves. The platforming sections are well-designed and a lot of fun.

Until this one part, wtf? It's a level where I have to keep jumping between circular platforms in a river, with wizard type enemies on each one. I have no problem until a part where I have to jump across two poles, then swing on two poles. When I jump for the second swing-pole the green light never appears and I fall right in the water and have to do the whole thing over. huh?

You should also hold B instead of waiting for the green light to appear. If the pole is far, sprint then double jump.

I always hold B, yea. The green shit never appears, Sonic just plumments. Can you dash off of a swing?

edit: that's the level. My problem area is after the checkpioint at 5:23, though it seems I can skip that whole section...

In the sewer area, near where you get the walljump shoes. Go in there as Werehog (pull the switch then go down the elevator), then change back to Sonic in there, then dash across the water.

Not true for the HD version at all. Why are you playing this on Wii when you could at least play the demo on 360?

The Sonic levels are fuck awesome, though. The bonus ones are brilliant.

It's a great game all around. I already got more than half of the game's achievements (thanks, demi).

eeehhhhhh i really don't know about this. the sonic levels are good fun, and seemingly less fragile than past 3d sonics, which were always teetering on the edge of messiness or glitchiness. and the visuals and music are excellent. but the proportion of sonic levels to OTHER SHIT seems really low. the werehog levels are, i suppose, tolerable, but that airplane qte level was sheer torture, particularly since i still associate 'abxy' with their snes positions. i don't know if i want to play this when i've got like four presumably better games sitting in shrinkwrap. i wish i could just play and replay the sonic levels and have done with it

you'll get to that point soon. The Africa Sonic level is also much better than that first one and that's also soon.

I have to get back to playing, but I got to the next werehog stage and didn't want to continue. plus far cry 2 is really good and I'm spending my time playing that.

I opened up my copy of Sonic Heroes for Xbox and tried playing it on my X360.

...I forgot how bad gaming could be.

Within the first two levels I fell off the level twice, had the camera go crazy where I couldn't see myself once, ran into a bunch of enemies that put me to a dead stop while running fast. Came to a stop by hitting a wall while running straight. And then finally WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE CHECKPOINTS!?!? I died like at the end of level 2 I guess where you jump from turtle to turtle (because I jumped for a ramp and it jumped off the level) and then IT RESTARTED ME AT THE BEGINNING OF THE LEVEL...so I turned it off.

Also the characters would not stfu.

Graphics were pretty good though. 2d was broken in BC, but 3d models were really clean.

Unleashed is going to be A LOT better, right?
