was lookin' fo' the thread, but didn't see it.

Just came back from the university book store sale and stocked up on books for the next year:

--The Real Life of Sebastian Knight by Vladimir Nabokov
--Consider The Lobster by David Foster Wallace
--The New York Trilogy by Paul Auster
--American Psycho by Easton Ellis
--The Road by Cormac McCarthy
--Labyrinths by Jorge Luis Borges
--Ficciones by Jorge Luis Borges (hardcover)
--V for Vendetta by Alan Moore and David Lloyd

They're used, but all were half off the cover price..$66, not too shabby. They also had some Haruki Murakami books I was looking at...Kafka on the Shore and Norweigan Wood, but I couldn't decide between the two.

I'm pissed I went outta my way to pick up a 120gb this afternoon only to find out that I cant transfer my saves from my 20gb to both my new Elite and the new 120gb. What the fuck MS way to drop the fucking ball. I was trying to setup a multi room 360 setup. So I can have one in the living room and one in the bedroom. Looks like thats not happening. Get with the times MS if I wanna have two consoles and they are mine I should have the freaking right to transfer my data any way I see fit.

yes, it sucks. i bit the bullet and bought a memory card and put all my saves on that.

FUCK THIS SHIT MS! I thought to call the 18004myxbox and they said yes you can transfer onto multiple hdd's. Everything I'd read contradicts what they told me. I'm gonna take the hdd back and just forget my perfect xbox setup. And fuck that 50 bucks for a damn xbox flash drive.

WALL-E on Blu-ray is sold out in Seattle. I went to seven stores (Target, Best Buy, Scarecrow, Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, Borders, Barnes and Noble, etc), they were all sold of the 2 and 3-disc versions.

I actually saw it at Barnes and Noble, but they wanted $37 for the 2-disc version. I didn't want it that bad.

Hell, even the Fred Meyer in Greenwood was sold out of Wall-E on Blu-ray.

I think Disney undershipped the Blu-ray version. There were tons of both DVD versions at every single store I went to.

The Blu-ray version of Tropic Thunder was also sold out everywhere.

I bought my wife Wordy Shipmates for Christmas (along with the new David Sedaris and John Hodgman books), can't wait to read it.

She's going to be speaking down in Olympia in February, we got tickets a while back, I think they're still available.
