Speaking of Chrono Trigger DS, the Japanese version has English support. Also, the game's copy protection has already been bypassed.

I kinda liked the battle system in CC, even though it's been a while since I played the game. The game really failed with its shitty pacing, too many useless characters with zero development aside from having a different accent, and extremely confusing story.

Chrono Cross doesn't really have levels or grinding, though.

You can also run away from any [boss] battle at any time.

The beginning of CC tricked me into thinking that I was making my own decisions on where to go while I was playing. Then I replayed it and realized they just came up with a really boring and shitty story. The love story between Serge and Kid is probably the worst one I've seen in a game.

Story sucks, Multiple characters were fine just should of expanded on Serge and simplified the story a lot.

Battle system, able to run from every battle, avoid any battle, no levelling was great.

Lucky Dan (who wasn't even called that in the game, I think ) and the cool battle system was all I can remember from Chrono Cross.

Outside of the cool music, of course.

fuck that whole summer was a blur. I think all I did was finish up school (had like one number theory class to graduate), play video games from time to time, and then spend all evening over at some burly dude's place with three friends playing wargames and german board games.
