Games of note:

(All times are EST)

12 PM - Michigan at #10 Ohio State

LOL. Time for a steamrolling. Probably the most uninteresting meeting between these two teams for a while. Good luck PD, gotta side with whiteACID on this game.

3:30 PM - #15 Michigan State at #8 Penn State

Now this is the more interesting Big Ten matchup. Michigan State is fighting for the right to possibly play in the Rose Bowl, and so is Penn State. I'm thinking this is going to be a close matchup, especially after Penn State lost one to Iowa. As far as I'm concerned, Michigan State has a damn good chance of pulling out an upset this week. Stay tuned.

6 PM - #14 BYU at #7 Utah

Utah might end up being a BCS bowl buster, but only if they get past BYU, the projected BCS darling at the beginning of the season. Utah did beat TCU, which BYU didn't manage to do. This is basically the battle for number one in the Mountain West. Again, expect a close one, but I expect Utah to win and fuck up some BCS bowls (probably by losing in the Sugar Bowl)

7 PM - #21 Oregon State at Arizona

It's going to be a tough game on the road, but if Oregon State pulls this victory off, they might make it to the Rose Bowl over USC, who's played in that bowl a bajillion times, especially over the last few years. I'm sure that USC actually might want Oregon State to win the conference for once. USC is more than likely going to a BCS bowl anyways, and I'm sure they are ready to travel somewhere else than across the city to Pasadena. Go Beavers!

7:15 PM - #20 Pittsburgh at #19 Cincinnati

Okay, so no one gives a shit about the Big East this year. They all suck. I get that. However, Cincinnati has gone through tons and tons of quarterbacks and they are still in the fight to win this conference. They need to get past Pittsburgh in order to get to the BCS.

I'm thinking that Pittsburgh has the edge here in this battle between city colleges. However, I'm a big fan of the underdog, so while I do think Pittsburgh will win here, I'm looking for a Cincinnati win.

7:45 PM - Florida State at #25 Maryland

Another disappointing conference - the ACC. However, Maryland, who started out the season rocky, is in it to win and go to a BCS bowl. They will have to get past a weakened Florida State. This one may be the closest out of all of the close games this Saturday. I'm thinking Florida State will pull off the win, and honestly, they should. I really don't want another Music City Bowl consisting of Kentucky playing Florida State.

8 PM - #2 Texas Tech at #5 Oklahoma.

It's make it or break it time for Texas Tech. They beat Texas and Oklahoma State and are, for the first time in the program's history, in the hunt for a national championship. Of course, they have to make it by one more hurdle: the Sooners, again another Big 12 program that isn't going to back down. Honestly, this game may be as deciding of a National Championship position as the SEC Championship game. I really want to give it to Texas Tech, but I think Oklahoma learned way too much from their close loss to Texas, and I expect to see a Sooner win here.

It's the second to last week of the regular season, and the only thing left for me as a Kentucky fan is to root on the Wildcats next week as they play Tennessee and hopefully end a losing streak in our supposed rivalry game. However, I'm still excited to see these game this week. This week will probably shape up our bowl picture and the "if's" will turn to definites slowly over the next few weeks.

I doubt MSU will beat PSU. But if they do (and Michigan beats OSU) they go to the Rose Bowl

to get crushed by USC or Oregon State

Pretty much. Although if Oregon State makes it, it's anyone's game I think.

The Big 12 South is going to be in a logjam of all logjams if Oklahoma beats Texas Tech tonight.

Pretty much. It will probably put either Oklahoma or Texas in the National Championship game picture once again.

I still have a feeling voters/computers/aliens are going to give a slight advantage to Texas after this.
