Played Blaz Blue (the newest fighter from Arc System Works) today. Unfortunately I can't comment much on the (superb) visuals because this particular game center had the game in some old versus city cabs. The picture looked a bit squished, too. (This game is supposed to be running at 720p with a 16:9 aspect ratio AFAIK) But that said, it still looked beautiful and looked like it was animated better than Arc's previous fighters.
I tried Noel, Rachel, Iron Tager, Taokaka and Litchi, and my friend used Bang, Jin, and Ragna. The game play feels pretty similar to Guilty Gear as one would expect (felt a little bit slower to me), so it was easy to get the basics down and start to get a feel for the characters, who all feel pretty unique from one another. I liked Taokaka (is this character a girl, by the way? I got a bit of a Bridget vibe from "her" for some reason) and Iron Tager the best out of who I used, and did the best with Iron Tager (holy shit are his Sledgehammer+follow-up and Atomic Collider moves effective!). Also used him when playing single player and went through the game. (There are two end bosses, by the way.)
Definitely want to go back and play a whole bunch more. I found myself liking it more than SF4, which is unusual for me since I generally prefer Capcom fighters over anything from Arc. Hope to see this on home consoles soon!
You can find an explanation of the game play, character move sheets, and videos at the ENGLISH version of the game's home page at
