Man, keep milkin that shit ADV

Horrible buy compared to the REAL Platinum set. They pack it like a 40-50 dollar set then ask for more money

Still the ultimate version imo (and the one I own)

The metal box versions ADV releases look like cheap shit. The Nadia one was awful looking, BUT thanks to milking Nadia is getting a re-release so I guess it works both ways:

(part 1, its a 2 season series)

and while the purists scoff at BGC 2040, I liked it, and its being re-released. My best buy actually had it out early. I already own it tho. The only series ill double dip for is Slayers...usually. I may double dip for Eureka Seven when they do the box sets.

I got the metal version eva versions before they released into that single compilation.  I was upset since I ended up paying 4 times as much.

That's nothin, remember when THIS came out - those people got dicked since it didnt include the dir cut episodes the fixed overlay problems and improved transfer. I swear ADVs first runs of EVA on DVD were just direct rips from VHS tapes. So crude.

This is pretty much proof that ADV is swirling the toilet at this point. They don't have the cash to pick up new licenses, so they re-release all their old shows [at higher prices] in the hope that they stay afloat long enough to get their government bailout sometime next year.

I still need to pick up the Evangelion box set.  I think my plan was to wait for the 4 remakes to come out, then buy some sort of crazy huge bundle with everything, but that wouldn't be out for another 3 years.

You'll never see the movies packed with the TV show, different pub iirc. Get the tv box set I linked (if possible) and buy the movie box set:

Course if ADV went under the tv series could change hands, but even then it'd be picked up by Funimation or Bandai at this point.
