 :-\

I'm done for the day/night, but I'm too tired to go home.

I once worked for about 36 straight hours at Wherehouse Music, and just made a bed for myself out of cardboard boxes in the backroom that night.  The morning shift the next day found me.

Every day of my life.

Seriously? I have to get up from my desk and walk out to my car then drive home? Too much work. I haven't taken or eaten lunch in weeks, because there just isn't time or energy.

Sorry I've been slacking on my posting, guys. 14 hour days leave me with nothing to post about except for work. I can only think about all the shit I have to finish up tomorrow. :gloomy

My company's office is pretty swank.  I feel like going to sleep in the break room, which has a nice couch, setting the alarm on my cell an hour early before anyone is the wiser.  It would look bad if I'm ever caught, though.

Look bad?! Tell them you stayed to help the company get ahead, and make sure you fall asleep with work-related documents splayed all over yourself for value-added awesome.

My company is actually pretty strict about work life balance, ironically.

Then bang your head against a wall, and in the morning tell them you were knocked unconscious foiling a robbery!  :punch

 :'( Must be nice...

I work 45-60 hours a week with no breaks, no lunches, no nothing. I barely have time to check my text messages & remember how hungry I am, much less surf forums.

Then I leave one office to go straight to another office (same job) where I teach a class & train new employees for another 25 hours a week.

Combined with my part-time job, I won't have any days off between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  :bawl

Honestly though, I fucking love it.  :-* Everybody I work with is cool as hell, it's just hectic as shit.

So I feel like I didn't waste a whole lot of money paying for college, which I'm pretty sure was worthless.

When I'm reallllly busy at work, I miss EB before I miss food.  :-*  :heartbeat

During that... month in which I had a job, I would get more exhausted by the hour long bus ride home than by the actual day itself.

Riding a bus is fuckin' ruff.

I hear ya on that. At work, you're on an adrenaline rush, so I always drive home like a fucking maniac.

But anytime I've ever ridden a bus (or the underground in London), I was immediately asleep. This doesn't count the school bus, because I was too busy throwing gum in people's hair and throwing shit out the windows.

If I can leave at 5.30, I'm energized to go because it means the trains won't be very crowded. The later I work, the worse the trains get. So I often sit at work longer than I should just because I want to put off the trains. The more tired I am, the less I want to deal with the trains. Of course, the pub works well for this problem.

Cause then i get to drunkenly grope hot chicks on packed trains, whoo hoo

The transition from work/school to pleasure is always rough.  It's like I can't immediately switch from being bored/productive to being slightly entertained/relaxed.  Worst is taking a long shower before realizing you just wasted a lot of water and were clean minutes ago but were still standing there because you were too lazy to stop.
