Not counting terminal- or browser-based stuff, is FFXI still the only cross-platform MMO? Square ought to pick up the pace on their next-gen deal, now that having a hard disk and Internet connection for your console is mainstream they could probably reach a bigger market if they can get to it before it's saturated.

but yeah, FFXI.

bioware is horrible and makes nothing of value. mass effect managed to save itself from being completely ruined by bioware but did not escape unscathed.

It looks OK for an MMO; the question will be how they handle gameplay. Star Wars works when it follows the mythic arc of a hero's journey, but not so much when it's "the journey of that hero's level-grinding tailor who makes bantha-skin belts."

Yea, some of my friends still play FFXI, and say the Japanese love it for the complexity it has.
