I think it's legal now, wormwood and all.

I remember buying an expensive bottle with a few of my friends.  Making sure we made sure it was the stuff with wormwood, it is a very different drunk than other alcohol.  Hard to describe it but I felt a lot more "floatier" if that makes sense.  Never hallucinated though.  A friend claimed that she thought the room was full of water but she is often full of shit.  Given the cost of the stuff, I was only able to get drunk off of it twice, never tripping out the entire time.

Don't buy it.
