There is no way. I would have estimated Wii operating profit at significantly more than $6 way back in 2006, let alone the reduction in costs 2 years later.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they weren't selling it at a loss 2 years ago. They're making way more than $6 per console today.

I'm curious to know what reduction in costs they actually saw. I understand economies of scale, but they already made 20 million gamecubes.

Comparatively...for sure the wii saw the least benefit to "ramp up." Not that it matters. But just curious.

they almost certainly are making less per console sole in America then they were back when the dollar wasn't weaker then a drowsy Don Knotts.
