lulz this is the FIRST time i post about uncharted on gaf. the FIRST time i linked to that article. i found out about it TODAY through mcd's post yet i'm already being accused of being an uncharted and naughty dog hater who "pulls out this article every time".

I liked what I played of Uncharted, but the shooting segments just went on too long for me, and that also meant that if you fucked up a long gunfight, you had to start all over.  It got a bit tedius to me.  If there were mid-battle checkpoints or something, it would be cool.

I'd also like to say I want more platforming, but if I did, I'd just be asking for Tomb Raider with Schlongs.

What Sony needs fast is God of War III not this average TPP shooter tripe.

Depends.  No Barlog on GoWIII is iffy.  GoW1 was nothing special at all.  Uncharted destroys it.  GoW2 was awesome and I give all the credit to Barlog after watching the Documentary on it.

At least 3 isn't Jaffe.  David Jaffe is nice guy, just not that great of a game designer.

GoW one was short and mainly just arena combatting with bad platforming. It had some really shitty areas and puzzles.  It reminded me of Rygar PS2 with a bigger budget.

GoW2 was on such a huge SoTC epic scale.  The level design was just so much better.  The areas looked great, had good flow, had solid puzzles, bosses, etc...the pacing was really exciting and I thought the combat was much better although I know there is a faction that prefers GoW1 combat.  Also the story was way better.  The boss fights too.

Well, the game really doesn't have to look much better than it did. Rethink the explosions (ore "fireballs," specifically)  and eliminate the tearing, and we're good.

I think the difference is that this new chick is probably in the same line of 'work' as Nathan is compared to Elena who was a journalist or something.

Yeah... she looks like an adventure vixen, vs the everyday media chick that Elena was. I do think they felt some pressure from the audience, but at least they avoided giving her a catsuit and curiously large tits.

Looks like Naughty Dog saw that Kojima failed to give us the warzone her promised, so they will ape the idea and do it better.

And for the love of god, if they do put co-op in, they better NOT FUCK UP SP because of it.  (RE5 <.<)

It was probably Mona Sax.  They modeled her fully naked, gave you a way to play as her naked, but once you did cartwheels and shit you noticed she had nothing down there.
