Until the second star wars trilogy this movie was Lucas's dark hour.  In comparison to Episode I + II, it is a masterpiece, however.

The part with him on the glider was filmed down near some of the CA Delta towns. I was there that day on a regular family outing to a really good fish restaurant down there, and they had the whole area closed off because they were tying to keep what the duck looked like a secret.  ::)

Wait wait wait. Why do people always blame this movie on Lucas? I just looked at it's imdb. All he did was exec. produce it.

I always thought he at least wrote it or something. Oh well. DAY ONE.

The movie is a Lucasfilm movie, thus he controls its fate.

A LucasFilm production, directed & written by the co-writers of American Graffiti and Temple of Doom? Come on, his dirty, duck-loving fingerprints are all over it.

I knew I recognized that Hyuck name from somewhere.  Outside of Graffiti that isn't a good track record.

This was the first big Lucas 'project' after the Star Wars trilogy, so it was indeed talked about as a Lucas failure at the time.

I kinda liked it, although even at parts it made my 12 year old self uncomfortable with how ridiculous it all was.

First Tim Robbins movie?  He's been a favorite of mine and I think this might be his first appearance.

A quick check on imdb.com reveals that Holly Robinson (Peete) was in the movie, man, I vaguely remember there being a really hot black hooker scene.  Must have been her, I've always had a soft spot for her as well.

And imdb lists a bunch of stuff for Robbins, including Top Gun before this movie.  I forgot he was in a side shot in Top Gun, I watched that on HD-DVD and only realized he was in the movie due to the credits.  In HD though I finally saw him, never noticed him before in SD  :lol

Also was in an episode of Buck Rogers, man I'd like to see that.

You can get the entire series for less than $20 on DVD.

The comic is fucking brilliant - really inventive '70s satire. The movie, not so much.

I haven't seen it since I was little, but I seem to remember them talking, then the camera pans out and you see a silhouette of her getting on top of him.

Lucas is a furry am confirmed.
