Remember Carmack said that the iphone is more powerful than both handhelds so it should be expected.

Summary:
Lots of optional content.
Big boss battles.
The combat system is simplistic.
Online chat has some issues that the reviewer hopes get patched in the future.
Reviewer #1 mentioned that he wished there was an autorun option because it's hard to chat and fight at the same time.

Offline play is balanced.
You can create your own combos. Fighting is fun.
The SNS system is difficult to use, in the future it would be nice if they patched it.

A beautiful world with huge monsters and intense battles.
Descriptive narrative and events in the single player mode.
The combat system can be repetitive.
Armor synthesis to easily strengthen weapons, is good.


Not complex, easy to get into.
Creating combos is fun, however, the way the menu works could be more polished.
The online mode's future depends on if they upgrade it.
For the time being, the chat function is inconvenient and needs improving.

What the fuck?!?  The first game had issues, but Dark Cloud 2 was one of the best games I played on the PS2.  And Jeanne D'arc fucking rocks.

I second Jeanne Darc. Not a terribly deep game, but it is fun and the presentation is top notch on the PSP. Absolutely kills FFT in every way.

I think that's a horrible idea.  History has proven that you can have a good gaming device with buttons or a good phone, but not both.  How do you propose to bridge the gap?

I'm still not convinced that it a good idea, one functionality will always be bad compared to the other. I say buy a phone to call and a handheld to play games.

Once the iPhone convinces me that the games are worthwhile I might change my mind, but so far I won't. I mean Sony has yet to prove to me that the PSP is a competent video and music player (currently it's not).

The iPhone is a great phone/browser/email/video/audio/calendar device.  The games (some of which are actually pretty good) are just gravy.

Any proposed PSPhone will just be too damn big.
