Disgraced former American football star O.J. Simpson was sentenced Friday to at least 15 years in prison for armed robbery and kidnapping during a 2007 raid on a Las Vegas hotel room.
Simpson could serve up to 33 years but could be eligible for parole after nine years, according to Elana Roberto, the judge's clerk.
beat white people once, shame on themtry to beat white people again, shame on you
I think this was more of a ruling for the first item, they could never say that because that ruling would be illegal
Like I said in the other thread, this whole case was bullshit. The prosecution targeted him much more aggressively than they would target a regular person who was involved in the same kind of situation. Four of the men who were with him in that hotel room were given plea-bargains specifically to get them to testify against Simpson. The murder trial should have no relevance here, but I guess that's not the way the American justice system works.

The murder trail was proof that the American justice system didn't work. Again, completely irrelevant. He was acquitted in a court of law. Glad to know that if you or I are ever falsely accused of a major crime and acquitted in court, we can expect law enforcement and prosecutors to go to full power-up mode against us if we ever slip up.

The man was acquitted in a court of law. Should a jury's verdict, or public opinion be the measure that the justice system uses against an American citizen?
I think Thomas Jefferson wrote a treatise on the unfair treatment of acquitted murders who steal back their sports memorabilia.
