Man, fuck Netflix on the 360

I haven't been able to get more than five minutes into a movie without "your connection has slowed, we're adjusting playback" and them lowering the resolution to .gif levels

i pay for road runner turbo, and i can check the connection speed at any time, my speeds don't fluctuate that wildly

also, HD vids stream just fine on my pc

well, back to downloading movies off the newgroups, i guess

I dont know why you'd wanna go DSL. Mine is steady but its quality is nowhere near where it needs to be for HD streaming. Considering getting comcast high speed just cause I use netflix streaming a lot now

Just to warn you, MAF, I've used both over the years and DSL is a lot more consistent with a good provider than Comcast.  The cost of higher download/upload is inconsistent service, shoddy tech support and throttling.

I won't deny the speed is faster and when it works - it's great.  I've never been a fan of Comcast, at least in the D.C. metropolitan area, because of the inconsistency of the service.  I mean - hell! - I've had no Internet for almost a week and a half.  That kind of lapse in service is just kind of inexcusable, in my opinion.  And it's not the first black mark on their service record with me.  I sometimes had to deal with slower speeds when I had SBC and other DSL providers, but the service was always consistent and hardly ever down.

I think they're having problems with it.

Never had any issues until last night. I had watched episodes 1-8 in a row of Weeds Season 1 and when I tried to watch the 9th it told me I was having connection issues. Had to finish the last two episodes on my computer.

Haven't tried it today though.

It took me like 2 months of off and on, random tech jiggering to finally get NetFlix streaming correct over wireless. I couldn't tell you exactly what I did, aside from repeatedly opening and closing various ports.

Seems to work great now, and it's easily the best thing about the Xbox.
