New Cell Phone (BBerry Storm vs HTC Touch Pro)

Since I have pretty much everything I want right now, I think it's time for me to upgrade my phone. I've been using the piece of shit Motorola RAZR for the past 2 years now. I'm thinking about getting either the BlackBerry Storm or the HTC Touch Pro.

I'm leaning towards the BlackBerry Storm since it seems like it has all the features of the HTC Touch Pro at half the price ($200 is still a shitload of money to spend on a cell phone for me). Do any of you guys have any suggestions for a new cell phone?

My service provider is Verizon Wireless.

The Storm is currently fucking horrible. Extremely sluggish operating system and it looks and feels like a toy. I heard that HTC makes shitty phones, haven't tried any of them out yet, though.

I'm going to get a BlackBerry Storm afterall. There have been OS updates that make it faster and easier to use. I've never had a phone other than a generic flip one, so a BlackBerry would be a nice change.

i gotta see what the payment plans are. i already have a voice plan, so if it's just 29.99 a month more for BB data i'm fine but if it's more than that then I can't do it

I'm either going to go with a BlackBerry Curve 8330 or the Storm. I might end up just getting the Curve to get myself started using a "Smartphone" and wait until a new generation of the Storm comes out.

I originally wanted a blackberry for the keyboard because I have an iPod Touch and I love the screen and stuff but the typing stuff is ass. But then they showed the storm! And I like it, but it doesn't have the keyboard! But I'm not really a power user, so maybe I'd be better off with the consumer device.

I really like the BOLD actually but it's on ATT.

Once they update the firmware for the Storm, I hear things are supposed to be a lot more fluid, which is the phones main issue right now.

But you have the right idea.  Storm or Curve?  Both will do you good.

Ah fuck it. I'm not paying an extra $30 a month for Email and Web access. I rarely ever get any Emails and I don't need the Web on my phone. It sucks that Verizon's website seems to force you to select a BlackBerry Email option.

You have to get a BB Data plan with all BBs. The cost isn't outrageous because it's unlimited, but if you only pay about that now, it's a big increase.

Ugh, same here. My contract is up this month and I don't wanna leave verizon, but I don't care much for the Storm because the plan costs too much and it doesn't have a qwerty keyboard. Verizon needs better phones.
