There was a chiptune documentary a while back that had people raving to the stuff, but I think you have to pay to watch it now.

Here's a link to a great 30 min Hally set (the guy in jiji's video), featuring a chiptune version of Blue Monday. This guy's my favorite chiptune artist, music is VERY reminiscent of old Konami and Capcom game soundtracks, with a breakbeat feel.
