I can't afford to catch it.

First, my best friend got it.  Then my aunt.  Then my co-worker/buddy.  Now my sister.  I feel like there's a circle of mono trying to come at me from all sides!  Is there some basic defense against mono other than avoiding people entirely?

You should avoid making out with your buddy, sister, and aunt.

Well, I don't think any of those folks got it from their significant others - some don't have one in their case.  That's what scares me.  Where did this invisible source of mono come from?  Is it some kind of mutated mono more resistant than ever?  This is like the movie Outbreak.

BUT WORSE.

If they didn't get it from their significant others, it means they got it from someone they were seeing on the side.

The best defense is just to avoid it.  It's viral so taking antibiotics won't make you immune or anything.  You can basically treat the symptoms once you have it.  Humans kinda suck with viruses.

Someone in my social circle is hosting makeout parties and I'm not getting invited.  I am not pleased.

i'm always surprised by how openly people share their food/drinks here with others where in the US/canada it was always like "no you can't have a sip of my drink, i could get mono"

so maybe they're like the filthy euros and got it from sharing drinks

No, they've all been diagnosed with mono.

You'll just have to start kissing strangers to build up your immunities. Given where you work, it'll be a breeze!

The one thing they all seem to have in common is you. I suspect you are patient zero, spreading pestilence and disease wherever you go.
