trying to learn ableton.

have the basics. could probably walk out of here and do an "ok" set

warping organic tracks (placing beat markers, essentially for ease of DJing) is a pain in the ass for music made with real musicians.

Went to a party last night at a friend's house, and then saw a midnight performance of The Eight (http://www.jeffgoode.com/pg8rm.htm) at a local theater.

Slept in until 11:30 today, and then saw Milk at the Egyptian Theater with the wife. Fantastic film.

I'm going to get the full version of Ableton, I think. It seems like a very god program for what I'm trying to get into.

Fucking miserable, other than that I cant complain. Too much stress going around lately. Gonna go out tomorrow and gift shop. I'll end up going to toysrus tonight or tomorrow morning for RB2. And then its off to get furniture. Then the weekend is over and I go back to work for 5 days.

Fucking awful. Took a mid-term earlier today, studied for pretty much the rest of the day, hit a bum with the mirror of my car (he stuck his hand out because I wouldn't give him money), and now I'm going to go running at the gym before I get shitty drunk.

making everything. it's got soft synths, sequencing and the like and also does recording.

it's designed as an audio suite.

i'm learning how to primarily use it for DJing right now. I already want to get a new controller so i can do a bit more.

Awesome. What's a good program for digital keyboards? You know anything keyboards? I think it's about time I go back to playing music. I should pick up guitar again, which I love.

Not good, not good. Had 4 days to study for my remaining two tests, 2 per test. Didn't get anything done Fri and very little done today. So now I have 1 day per test which is going to be....iffy.

Watched In Bruges tonight instead of studying. Good movie, bad choice.

I drank an entire bottle of Johnnie Walker Green Label last night, so that was good. Then I watched TDK, which was decidedly not great. Now I'm going to drink an entire label of Johnnie Walker Blue Label and play some Persona 4, which will be okay since P4 now pisses me off because of the useless DoubleJump guide. Then maybe I will eat some of these sesame honey roasted cashews from Trader Joe's. That should be awesome. Then I will eat a bunch of sleeping pills and sleep until like 9PM tomorrow.

I got nailed with a horrible cold on Friday, and have been in a daze most the weekend. This may be the worst fucking cold I've ever had, although I'm sure I think the same thing every time I get one.

Friday I went to a (very, very large) party with Synthesizer, and then we had dinner last night at Curry House. While their food is delicious, I don't think I would recommend the FUCKING GINORMOUS stone pot curry thing over the normal plated curry. Also I got in some WoW last night.

Today, for some reason, I decided to actually post on EB. I'm not sure why...
