Yawn an opinion piece by some psychic who magically tells me exactly how Eli's feeling at the moment, and probably has never interviewed him in his life. Give this mean a Peabody!
Eli's problem is not that he doesn't like football or anything like that - it's inconsistancy. Personally I don't think he fits in New York. The Giants are an old, veteran team. If they can't get it done this year, then their future isn't that bright. Tiki is retiring after this season (so he says...), and obviously Straham will be a year older next year. That's the heart of this team. Eli certainly doesn't share their drive right now, mainly because he's taking things slow. He can afford to do that since he's young, and as a young quarterback he's falling in line with the other ones (except Big Ben of course).
There's going to come a time when Eli is going to "get it". He's smart, and he already has the greatest motivation there is (his brother's success) to aim for. In a couple years he'll be one of the faces of the NFL, and hopefully everyone will forget about that overrated bitch Michael Vick
