CRISIS 2008
« on: December 18, 2008, 09:59:26 PM »
I only have a half bottle of scotch and the liquor store is closed.  What do I do?

I can walk to the grocery store and get some wine.  Cohen, recommendations?  Something tasty that has maybe been fortified with gasoline or something?

There's also about 6 inches of snow on the ground, including on all the sidewalks.  It's going to be a trek to even walk to the grocery store.  My boots are going to get all snowy and some snow will probably get inside them, exposing my feet to the burning cold.  At least they obviously don't use salt here, since that would damage my boots.

This is basically the worst night ever.  I wish I were dead.  Or that Ron Perlman/lordmaji were assaulting me w/ highly sexualized violence.

If he drinks gasoline, spelling his name in piss could turn into quite an event. Possibly visible from space if you dropped a match.

This is why you should always have a well-stocked warchest of booze on hand. It's like a fallout shelter for the mind.

UPDATE
I have discovered the following in the cabinet above my fridge:

1) A bottle of rum, maybe 4 fingers left in the jar.
2) A 3/4ths full bottle of Red Label
3) The previously reported half bottle of Green Label

I should be okay.  I will consume the Green first since it is the best, then I will consume the rum, and last I will have the Red Label.  Hopefully I will be drunk by then because I am not terribly fond of such proletariat alcohol.

Damn, I couldn't make it through half that. BTW, how does one not know how much liquor they have? I keep better alcohol inventory than tabs on my bank account.

Because I will start drinking stuff and get drunk and forget what I have left, or alternately the next morning I wake up and I never want to drink again so I put the shit in a cabinet that I do not open regularly.

I don't mind beer, and I can get it by walking a block, but the caloric intake is just  :yuck  Beer is untenable.
