I think he's a dead man, but not by Avon's hands. Avon is gonna bitch but he'll realize Stringer did the right thing. I think Muzone and Omar are going to get rid of Stringer, which is a shame because he's the most dangerous dude in the show. Avon wants to play gangster and trade bodies for a few corners while Stringer has his eyes on millions of dollars worth of real money. The man could rule Baltimore, and maybe run for mayor one day. Instead he's gonna get smoked over some bullshit

Fucking with Muzone=smh. Killing D'Angelo was small stuff compared to that decision imo, but we'll see

Stringer Bell

The last two episodes were amazing. Hell the entire season was. I wonder if the show has shot its load though, like 24. With so many of the major players out now I wonder where things go. Sure the Marlo arc was introduced and I want to see what he does, but I doubt that's going to be as interesting as the Bell/Avon combo.

Bell's attempts at legitimizing the empire and trying to evolve street criminology were fascinating. Going back to street soldier stuff/corners/etc could really feel like a step backwards for the show. We'll see though. The characters are interesting enough to carry my attention regardless, and the Amazon.com review also mentions the season is heavy on political intrigue (mayoral race). That's going to be awesome.

Just finished season 5. Great show. Now I don't have anything to watch.

Season 4 was just as good as season 3 imo, but I actually cared about the stuff with the kids and I'm guessing most people didn't. Season 5 was still good and ended the show well, but it couldn't compare to the last 2 seasons.

Other than that he does the same thing every season: finds a pet project problem that no one cares about, goes through back channels until it becomes a focus point, then lose interest in it a few episodes later only to come back at a later time

Just got done watching the first 3 episodes of S4 and I gotta say I'm beyond impressed. Very strong opening. First episode started off a bit odd with some humor and over acted (Carcetti going nuts) shit, not to mention lots of plot juggling. But it still managed to seamlessly introduce a bunch of new characters without leaving me scratching my head like S2. Boys of Summer. What a great opening title. The focus on the hoppers is well done. Reminds me of Boyz in the Hood, and especially Menace to Society.

Yeah season 3 was kinda meh. It was almost as if they thought the series was going to end so they tied up all the loose ends without much in the way of plot development. It was still good though.

It's interesting how he shows almost no respect to the OGs, or fellow crew leaders who want to do business with him. Finished S4 tonight. AMAZING. The season was almost too good. I thought S2 struggled initially with introducing new characters but this time it was so effortless. By the end I was emotionally invested in so many characters, a lot of whom were new. To me this season was more tragic, more dramatic than the previous ones.

Damn, I've heard S5 sucks but I can't see how that'll happen. Can someone embed the S5 trailer here, I don't want to accidentally run into spoilers on youtube
