Played the heck out of some BULLY on Friday night, wept that it will never see a sequel, and then played too much Fable II on Saturday night. Also played 20 minutes of the Doritos dino-eat-truck game to get 200 Achievement points.
I fall in, then out of love with Fable II repeatedly over the course of a single play session. So much is done well that the stupid stuff breaks my immersion. I spend a lot of time bored while hammering at the blacksmiths, wondering why they fell so in love with that stupid semicircle on which they project every kind of job success, and why chopping wood is almost soothingly meditative, while 'smithing is as tense and un-fun as having an ex-girlfriend nearby and wielding a stapler while one's boy junk is exposed. Tense. Every time I get a decent multiplier, POOF away it goes. Spent 20 minutes off and on trying to figure out how to heal my dog when the context on the D-pad was refusing to offer "heal dog" in favor of the Archaeology side-quest note.
Cormacaroni, I'm up for F2 co-op if you like.
