Well, this sucks...(tax related)
« on: November 30, 2006, 08:34:56 AM »
I have some back tax issues, my prevois job had me on a 1099 (contracter) and it's a pain to do estimated taxes yearly, never mind every quarter. So needless to say I owe some back money.

I was working with a company to get things filed and settle the amount owed...I had sent them and email and it bounced, no big deal shit happens, I sent another to another contact, and again bounce. So I go tot he web site...GONE.

turns up they closed shop and fucked ALOT of people out of ALOT of money, luckily I had not paid them much money, but now I need to start this whole process over and of course call the IRS today.

If anyone has dealt with this shit before, please feel free to direct me to a quality service.

here is the site http://www.taxreliefnetwork.com/
and here is a page of people bitching about losing some pretty good amounts of cash
http://www.ripoffreport.com/results.asp?q1=ALL&q5=Tax+relief+&submit2=Search!&q4=&q6=&q3=&q2=&q7=&searchtype=0

le sigh.

First off, I suggest selling your Wii. Then you eBay your extensive collection of Nintendo Power backissues and you'll be homefree. :-*

I took out a loan to pay the fucking IRS back, Citifinancial had better rates than the IRS did!  :tophat

Don't fuck with the IRS, Wobe. They will pull your skirt up and twist your head off before you can hum the first bar of "Taxman".

I'm not fucking with them, I was TRYING to get it dealt with, these cocksuckers closed shop and fucked people over.

I have a local guy that a friend has dealt with I will go there and re-start the process.

Just a pain in the ass, but it will be handled.

An attorney would be better than an accountant.

The new place I am going to does both, which is what I honestly need.

I'm so glad I've never had any tax problems.  Sorry to hear about that Wobe.  You're a sharp guy and you'll get it taken care of.

Just remember, an accountant can be called to testify against you, while anything you tell an attorney can't be used against you.  Also, an attorney negotiated settlement will protect you from future action, while an accountant one can be used as evidence to go after you again for the same taxes in question.
