DLNA/NAS: Quick questions
« on: December 22, 2008, 12:43:30 AM »
Thinking of getting this and swappin' out the hard drive for a bigger one. Read a couple of articles and apparently you can do pretty cool stuff with these NAS units like have them run torrents for you and stuff.

One thing I want to know more about is DNLA/uPNP media stuff. So how does it work? Can I just have my 360/PS3 run a search for the NAS? Will I need to have videos encoded properly for the system (DiVX for the PS3, for instance) or does DLNA handle all the decoding stuff (highly doubt it)?
