2006 - a look back
« on: November 30, 2006, 12:36:02 PM »
I don't know because I can't really remember it. I went canoeing for the first time this summer, my little sister got married (I can't believe she's turning 22 in a week, I feel old) and I got a new car. That's about all that comes to mind.

As I reflect back on the past few months, the men/women of Evilbore have proven to be a caring family of valued members. I am absolutely impressed with the magnificent things we are doing here.

May God bless you and your families at Christmas and as we venture into this New Year.

Traveled to Dominican Republic, Cape Cod, Boston, rented a million dollar home in Chautauqua, New York for a weekend.

Won 500 dollars playing small stakes on-line poker.

Started work on building our house.

Spent too much time on the internet (poker and forums), gained 15 pounds. Haven't worked out in 1 1/2 years now.

Time moves too fast.

It's been a crazy year for me.  My friends and roommates have fled Los Angeles, and some have fled the country altogether.  Had to find a new place, deal with work stress and other assorted problems.  On the other hand, I've put myself in a position to start working for myself, helped create this little community and most importantly, met someone special.

That's right.  I'm talking about you, Luneth, from Final Fantasy III. <3

I released version 2.0 of the bank software I created, played video games a lot (mostly WoW), and fulfilled my obligations as a consumer.  That about sums up my year.

Graduated from highschool and college at the same time - with my HS diploma, an Associate's Degree, and a tech certificate

Entered a university

Met some cool people

Finally got accepted into my favorite Wolfenstein clan

Voted for the first time

Embarrassed myself at a family reunion

Overall this was an uneventful year imo.

Well, it was your average year for me, I guess.  Worked a shitty job that I hate for most of it, saved up some scratch and now I'm looking at having to re-enter the workforce again, sadly.  Other than meeting a new lady, not much else went on in 2006.  Oh, my friends made a movie that got accepted to Sundance the other day.  I guess that's cool.

This has been a really boring year. Just school and work.. that's about it.. The one girl I was "seeing" this year turned out to be a real psycho so that didn't last long. Hopefully, I find a nice girl in 2007!

It sucked.  It was all about the people around me having successful relationships while I just keep repeatedly faceplanting into the pavement.

and 2007 isn't looking like it will be any better.  I'll graduate and then stress myself out over not finding any worthwhile employment, take a crappy job, while more of my friends scatter away.

Boogie and Blackmage, at least you HAD relationships this year. Even if they were terribly unsuccessful and utterly pathetic, I'm sure they were better than no relationship at all.

Maybe I'll be more outgoing in 2007 and meet a nice girl. Like Cloudwalking

Exactly. It's not hard for me to understand why I don't get chicks - I'm quiet, layed back, and I don't wear fancy designer clothes for the most part, instead opting for sports stuff (like Nike shirts, or black/red/white/etc shirts with nothing on them). I'm certainly not ugly, but my crime is that I simply don't stand out.

Whereas Boogie is a built dude. ???
