From Software has announced that the demo for Ninja Blade will go up in the Japanese XBL Marketplace on Monday, 29th of Dec, next week!


The game didn't look so hot in the first footage imo, should be interesting to see if its better.

There are certain teams that I trust to make an action game and others I don't.  I don't think From Software is going to make something on par with DMC + NG.  Even after sinking millions upon millions into GoW, which really has its heart in the right place as far as hardcore action games go, Sony couldn't do it.

I remember seeing a vid with normal fighting against enemies. Some were commenting on how the attacks seem to have weight to them (or something)

I guess this is for cutscenes and/or boss battles

It has "gameplay" like Otogi, which is to say you kind of slowly spin around enemies that are also slowly spinning around.

saw your post in the thread and it was funny seeing the usual suspects thinking the game is rad. 

Whats funny about the From Software situation is that both games should be out within a month from each other (Bladen in January, Souls is aiming for February). Should be interesting to see how they both turn out.

it's QTE, a fight where you just press X for a few seconds, then a scene where you press X as you're falling, then more QTE, then a scene where you press left on the d-pad, forward on the analog and x, then you mash A for a second or two, then you repeat the previous step, then another QTE, then it ends

it's just a bunch of shitty qtes with the occasional bout of boring combat to break them up

I played it. I really like it,the QTEs aren't half bad though it is odd that it rewinds when you fail rather then punishing you. It's fun though.

Well rather than either of those options, it could give me an alternative like another/different OTE to finish the sequence or perhaps even lead me to a completely different area. But who's to say that won't be available later on considering this is only the beginning. I totally get where you're coming from though.

this really is pretty awful -- the qtes aren't even good as qtes go. but they seem to have done some good engine work, and i suppose it's only a matter of time before they give us BIG ROBOTS wrecking those big cityscapes

The prerendered movie uses the same "I'm a badass ninja running down the face of a skyscraper" visual as Shinobi, and we all know how that turned out. Plus, hey, From Software.
