I was watching SpikeTV and this message keeps popping up about losing the channel on certain cable carriers and I looked up WTF it's all about, and it seems Viacom wants more $ from the cable company and the cable company is all, "FU, we'd have to pass that cost on to our customers."

So now they want customers to call in and bitch about losing the channels.  It's like asking them to call in and advocate for a higher bill... hilarious.

Why are you paying for cable in the first place?  There's like 4 shows (at most) worth watching at any given time.

When I tried to get rid of the TV side (you can watch TV on the internet now anyway), they let me keep it for cheap, and lowered my internet cost to match... so it's something like $40 a month before all that tax/fee boolshit.

Is this Comcast?  Do you think I can finagle a similar deal without being subscribed to their cable at the moment?  Because if I could, I'd gladly take the best of both worlds.

Yeah it's Comcast.  They always seem willing to drop prices if you say you want to cancel.
