It's enjoyable, but it is ridiculously hard. I've never finished it - never even come close - and I probably never will.

It's sorta like Ornette Coleman's Free Jazz album. It's obviously pretty cool, but you'll only ever listen to it twice and then leave it on the shelf.

It's great, very campy and low production values but that's part of the charm. The gameplay is pretty soild though, once you get used to the controls the game feels natural and makes you wonder why no other company has attempted to do something like this before, it makes the game feel strangely like a cross between Punch Out and a typical brawler.

I'm glad Tiesto made that post and injected some much-needed sense into this thread. Great game; the brawler/punch-out!! combination is dead-on accurate, the game is nothing like DMC or Ninja Gaiden, cuts out all the stupid bullshit, and gets right into the ACTION. It's challenging and you WILL get your ass kicked by regular enemies at first. You also can earn/buy new moves and build your own combos. The storyline is all cheese and nonsensical, but it's supposed to be so its fine. Really the only negative thing it has going for it is that some of the graphics are less than stellar.

I need to go back and finish this..

This game is really fun. You can build absolutely huuuge and hilarious combo chains. It's hard as hell though and it has tank controls. Imagine if RE4 was all the kicks and stuff - the graphics + crazy hilarious moves. That's God Hand.

God Hand is amazing

and the tank controls aren't a problem at all once you get used to the controls, which would actually take a bit. Basically, the left stick is forward, back, and turning. The main reason why the camera is stuck behind your back is because direction of the analog stick matters in combos; it's actually a bit more of a fighting game than something like DMC or Ninja Gaiden. The right stick is for evading attacks; forward for a duck, back to dash back, left/right to dash sideways. Face buttons are the attack buttons, and shoulder are special stuff basically.

You really will be moving all around the controller when playing. You'll be switching from the face buttons to right analog constantly, having to use the right and left stick in unison to pull of move advanced movement, and even rely on a radar and somewhat plan your movement based on where the enemies are. It is a bit confusing at first since it's so unique in how it plays, so even if you're down on it at first, I'd say to stick with it a bit to try and see if it will click for you or not. oh, and customizing your combos to suit your style of play is important too.

It's nothing like DMC/Ninja Gaiden. It's more along the lines of the old-school style beat-em-ups, just much, much, much harder.

The tank controls work great because of the dodging controls; this is where the Punch-Out!! comparisons come in. You'll see when you play it.

Honestly, this is pretty fair. I was okay with the game until you have to fight three bosses at once, and then I just couldn't make it feel fluid enough. I'm sure it's just a matter of practice, but there are games that I enjoy playing without putting in as much effort. I'd rather just spend time with those.

God Hand fucking rocks. If you suck at video games, then no, you won't like it because it's harder than my dick when I see that redhead off of Mad Men. If you're good, then God Hand looks like this:

If you're fucking amazing, then it looks like this:

If you suck then it won't look anything like either video and you'll hate the game.

Best three tips I can give:
1.) Once you're engaged in a fight, you don't need to use the left stick, so use your left thumb for the right stick, which will allow you to...
2.) Use the right stick not only to dodge, but also to cancel out any lag time between moves.
3.) Learn crowd control. Best way is to use any projectile items and your God Hand/God roulette moves wisely and to taunt enemies from far out in hopes that you can battle them one on one.

Oh yeah and the music is awesome.

I got God Hand on sale from Circuit City for $16.50... just saw the game on clearance sale and decided to take the chance based on blind GAF hype. One of the few times they were actually right about something.

Understand that no one hyped up killer7 for it's gameplay. This is why the No More Heroes gets so much praise; it's a suda game and parts where your playing are half-decent.
