Basically I'm trying to do this because my moms is at one area in the house(where the Fios modem is) and on the other side is my PC and 360.
Now I have enough cable to go from point A to point B, but it's only one cable and I have several things I'd like to hook up.
I disabled DHCP in my d-link router and I'm now able to connect to the internet on my PC. I plugged a cable that was in a LAN port on my fios modem/router into a LAN port on my D-Link router then plugged my PC into the D-Link modem.
When I plug in my Xbox 360 into the D-Link router, it won't connect. Now, If I try to plug the cord from Fios directly into my Xbox 360, my mother gets an error on her computer saying there's some type of conflict.
This knocks out the internet, until I unplug from the Xbox 360 and plug it directly into my PC.
My old router is a D-Link WBR-2310, by the way.
Can anyone explain to me what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it?
