what do you want to do for the holidays? what do you want?

what do you celebrate? for me i just really want to spend some time with my family. i can't really think of anything i want, maybe a book or money or something. i'm not big on the whole holiday season thing.

I dislike the holidays cause it makes me stress out. And people expect things from ya. It sucks cause I'm not made of money. Oh well I try to enjoy what it is. I like getting together enjoying a nice meal and having a glass of wine or something. To me the holidays is about coming together. But everyone else around me in my family don't share that view.

Anyways what I really want this Christmas is a car I need one badly. Then maybe I can get my butt to school and start getting my crap together. Then go visit my best friend and spend more time with her. I've been missing her a lot lately.

i'm in a similar boat. i really don't celebrate christmas now, since i'm a adult and a father and such, and i'm not a christian. but i am celebrating the holiday season and will buy gifts. i just don't like how some people, and family expect me to do what they want, and celebrate thie holidays and shit.

yeah, i hate when family they expect you to go visit them. for me it's not a easy thing. why the fuck should i spend money, time and hassle to celebrate a holiday i don't believe in?


why won't they visit me on my holidays?

well I got out of thanksgiving, I am going to try and make christmas. Its just a few days a few hours drive away. However weather has been BAD in Western Wa so far this year so we'll see. My car isnt equipped for heavy winter driving, period.

shitty, for me i just take bus and subway/metro. but that's why it sucks, taking a 2 and half year old girl and my wife, carrying shit, traveling switching buses and trains for a hour or so. no thanks.

just so i can be bored and wish i was somewhere's else

I dont mind cooking during the holidays its just the money stuff. Cause everyone expects something. And when your trying to save up for stuff its hard cause some people like gifts before Christmas.

i ask family to not buy me anything or give me any gifts. they take offense to it, like i'm expected to join in on shit they believe in, for thier sake, forgoing my own believes. no thanks.
