i just wrote a function whose return type is Tuple<IEnumerable<CtfRecord>, IEnumerable<Tuple<Bates, IEnumerable<Bates>>>>

i left VS a reassuring XML comment that this is "temporary until I refactor this" and i think VS bought it.  VS2008 is very naive
