Is this a good deal ? Used Macbook

I'm looking at getting a small laptop that I can use for school or just while lounging around the house.  I have a 17" XPS that's pretty good, but the thing is too big and the battey life is too janky for me to really use it as anything other than a spare desktop.  I was thinking of getting a netbook until I saw an ad that was selling Macbook for $400.

The specs in the description:
 13" Black MacBook, 2,2 Ghz Core 2 Duo, 2 Gb memory, 160 Gb HD; comes with Office, Adobe CS3 and Leopard 10.5

I've never really used a Mac before, but would I be getting a good deal if I paid $400 for this?  It's advertised as being in good shape and still has 2 months left on its applecare warranty.

What? My MacBook Pro lasts about three hours uncharged, and it's the 15" year-old model. I take it to school everyday.

Something must be wrong with yours.

ok ive had this mbp for 2 years now.  im on my second battery since the first one randomly died, at its peak it probably had 2 and a half to 3 hrs but degraded over time and i keep it plugged in 247 now

i read on apples site that using it as a desktop comp plugged in all the time kills it, which i admit ive been doing for awhile

even back in art school the thing would die after an hour hour and a half. pos.
