I install a new graphics card on my parents pc...

and was wondering how I find out if I've done a good job or not...

its an asus geforce 6200 agp 8x

I'm getting the halflife 2 demo from my steam account. Same idea, but better game.

former. I know the card can't play anything OMG new well because it has awards on the box from 2002.

Go to your device manager and check to see what is shows as installed. 

You installed the Nvidia drivers, right?

good deal.  unless you run into some error that says you have an incompatible card or no card, you're good to go.

um...when I launched halflife 2 it was fine and then suddenly the monitor went onto a black screen and started rapidly turning it's self on and off.  :(

Did you make sure to uninstall the old video card drivers first?
