I haven't seen season 2, but if it's as good as season 1, I honestly wouldn't mind if the show died after two brilliant seasons.  I know it's completely unAmerican to not milk something successful until it is terrible, but America blows ass.  When is season 2 out on BD.  Me wanty.

Unrelated, but Skins S1 is out on DVD tomorrow, yay.

I don't think it was as good as season one. Draper's marital problems got boring.

I heard we were getting season three, but Weiner's involvement was still up in the air.

As for season two, we didn't get the first season on Blu-ray/DVD until June.

Draper's marital problems got boring.

It did drag for a bit, but Betty was omgawesome by the end of the season.

The problem with having a show like Mad Men on AMC is that a lot of things become fake because they have to censor it up.

For example, in real life a woman wouldn't hold the covers over her the morning after sex so no one can see her boobs.

Not that I would know :(

Quote
But according to the Hollywood Reporter, Weiner and Lionsgate—who produce Mad Men for AMC—have struck a two-year, seven-figure deal to keep the show's creator around. He will oversee everything in the Sterling Cooper–verse for the upcoming season, work on "new projects," and take on a possible full-length feature for Lionsgate. (It won't be a Mad Men movie, sadly.)
The two-year deal, strangely, doesn't include a fourth season order of the universally lauded period drama. But unless the show ties up all its loose ends come next year (… and other impossibilities), it's likely there'll be more Pete Campbell—but still no Chauncey—come June 2010.

I have full faith in it. 60s could be absolutely amazing, considering what they've done so far.

The second season took place in 1962, right? I expect the next season to take place in late 63 and 64, allowing the show to cover the Kennedy assassination and Beatlemania (just for Cohen).

Yep. The Kennedy/Nixon debate and election were talked about in the show. We're in the middle of Camelot and Jackie O.-mania.
