Eh, I remember liking Slacker an awful lot.  It's been years though.  My recent viewing of Dazed pushed me over the edge in purchasing Slacker.  It's a 40 dollar Criterion and I needed the motivation.

In my opinion Waking Life is better than Slacker. The conversations are a little bit more interesting and the animation style adds alot to keep my into the movie.

Waking Life has its moments, but on the whole, it's really not something I'd like to see again.  The visuals were enough to get me through 1 viewing.  I wasn't too hip on the dialogues.  Too much pointless, often irrational, always pretentious, philosophizing.  In bits it thought it was humorous in a witty way, but in the end the movie just came off as a sort of pnderous mess.  Slacker is a mess, too, but it's a good kind of mess.  A slackery mess, if you will.  Also Slacker was really influential, so I think it warrants more attention.

The "Whatever!" Edition of Clueless is great.  Interesting featurettes that aren't marketing fluff, and the new transfer is gorgeous.

Nice.  I haven't watched it since it originally came out on video, but after watching Fast Times and Dazed and Confused, I was in the mood for more great high school movies, hence Clueless and American Graffiti.

It's not too special a phone, but it has some decent features. I'm going to have fun putting mp3 ringtones on it, since this'll be my first mp3 phone. It also has a 2.0 Mpixel camera of decent quality - for a phone, anyway.

It was supposed to cost $50 with a 3-year contract, but I wound up paying nothing for it because I had ~$35 credit from a bonus program and they figured I was loyal long enough for them to eat the remaining $15 or so. I'll be paying $27.**/month, all fees included, for unlimited evenings and weekends (after 7pm) and 100 daytime minutes. My provider bills by the second, which means the seemingly little daytime minutes last the month with some to spare (I get and make a lot of calls that last 10-15 seconds). They threw in free voice mail and call display for a year; originally they were only planning on giving me one of the two free. I've read people say they got both services free for the duration of their contracts, but I'm pretty happy with what I was offered.

There's no point in getting a cellphone if you have no need for one. There *are* a lot of cool phones out there, though...

Both the song and the video for "Wonderboy" are fantastic.  I think it's the song they were talking about in "Tribute", when they sang "the greatest song in the world."  Well, "Wonderboy" is certainly Tenacious D's greatest song.

I think it comes out the 14th.  Not going to buy it unless I read some positive impressions/reviews.  I'm not a big Bleach fan and the only good game has been the Treasure-developed DS version.  Plus I think Armored Core 4 and Motorstorm are coming out that week.
